£45 minimum · £420 a full bed

Eight prices, one for each eighth

Junk removal is not priced by the hour and it is not priced by the item. It is priced by the fraction of the truck bed your load occupies once it is packed — which is why we break things down before they go on.

What moves the price

Packing. On the demonstration on the front page, six items thrown on whole fill 3/4 of the bed and bill at £340; the same six broken down and packed fill 3/8 and bill at £195. Nothing else changed.

Weight is the other one. Anything over half a tonne — soil, rubble, hardcore, tile — is weighed and quoted before we start rather than charged by volume, because a half-full bed of hardcore is a different vehicle's job.

What is already in the price

  • Two crew and the lifting, from wherever it stands
  • All disposal fees and the waste transfer note, emailed the same day
  • Sweeping up after, and photographs of the cleared room
  • Travel inside 12 miles of the yard; 60p a mile beyond it
